#ChucksPreview – Brewery & the Beast 2017

Last Summer 2016 I had the pleasure of attending my first Brewery & the Beast Meat Festival. I had no clue what I was getting into and I have to say that it was worth every penny.

At first, the ticket price of $100 made me think that ” this better be worth the $100″. As it turned out, it was! Unlimited samples of beer and free samples of food from many local restaurants that participated in this event.

Check out my video from last year’s event:

What’s New

The events from the previous years offered many alcoholic beverages like craft beers, wines and ciders. There was no limit to how many you can consume.
In this year’s 2017 Brewery & the Beast, you are given 10 beverage tokens which are included with the purchase of an event ticket. Last year there was no limit to how many drinks you can consume. This makes sense because of safety first guys. I use the cold beer to wash down the delicious food that is offered. Beverages are poured as follows: Beer — 12oz, Cider — 6oz, Wine — 3oz. (this is due to a recent policy change by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch of BC).

Final Thoughts

This year’s Vancouver event is sold out but there may be a chance to attend still. Last year they were looking for volunteers for the event to do runs for the tents. Refilling charcoal, water runs and other supplies in exchange to attend the event for free.

This is a must attend kind of event and if you are the few that missed out on the online ticket sale, be prepared and plan ahead for next year.  There is also an event September 29th in Victoria. This will be my 2nd big event that I will cover so make sure you check my blog itsmechuck.com in July.
