Everyone who has #FoodVentured into Vancouver’s Japanese Ramen scene has experienced waiting in long line ups. The reward was worth the wait especially if it’s your first time trying Japanese Ramen.
The popular “Hokkaido Ramen Santouka” is celebrating what they call “Santouka Day”. Santouka started its history when founder Hitoshi Hatanaka said to his family.
I’m going to make delicious ramen
The company was founded in the year 1988 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The family ventured into their restaurant business because of how satisfied they were with the Shio(salt) Ramen they have mastered. At that time, that was the only item on their menu.
As the brand grew, the company expanded their menu and also their locations. Now they are in North America celebrating “Santouka Day” which is practically the Birthday of the business. There’s also a hidden meaning to the name Santouka.
“SAN” in Japanese is Three/3
“TOU” in Japanese is Ten/10
“KA” in Japanese is Day
So it creates March 10 which is the Day of Santouka!
What was the 50% off deal that was mentioned in the title?
